Celebrating Cultures, Promoting Integration
Have you already heard about Culture Night? This is a great opportunity to find out something about it and even to take part of it in a few days.
Culture Night takes place on Friday 16th September. Museums, galleries, artist’s studios, cultural centres and historic houses will open their doors across Dublin and other cities around Ireland and select international locations. For ten years the National Cultural Institutions successfully organize this annual public event. It is all about supporting cultural organisations, activities and facilities. The purpose of this event is to enhance a local and a national cultural scene, habits and enable the public to play a role in it.
You can look forward to many concerts, exhibitions, street artists and animations. In Dublin you can go through six tours in different part of the city. For example in the Phoenix Park & Museum Quarter The Light House Cinema is opening. They are pleased to be screening Tomm Moore’s Oscar nominated ‘Song of the Sea’. Liberties & Historic Quarter offers visitors a night of live DJ’s, wine & retro nibbles in the store Anonymous.
Already about 350,000 people participate Culture Night every year and you can be one of them. Don’t miss this attractive event which is free for everybody.
