Celebrating Cultures, Promoting Integration
If you are around the Ballsbridge Area (Dublin 4) today, you’ll probably see green and white jerseys swarming toward the Aviva Stadium, as the Republic of Ireland is hosting the mighty World Cup Champions, Germany, tonight 7:45, for a decisive game in Euro 2016 Qualifying stage.
Irish fans will be hoping the “Boys in Green” can get a positive result at home, capitalizing on the draw they managed to bring from Germany (1-1) in October last year. They’ll also keep an eye on the Scotland v Poland game, a draw or a victory by Scotland would change the odds in Group D.
The odds are favouring Germany, bringing a strong team to Dublin, as they only need 1 point to secure a place in the tournament next year. Every Irish football fans remember the 6-1 defeat suffered nearly 3 years ago and will be eager to avoid humiliation at least.
Ireland need a victory in either game against Germany or in Poland next Sunday to secure at least a play-off for Euro 2016 in France, third place will mean they’ll go through to the play-offs. With no win in the next 2 games, they could lose the third place in a worst case scenario where Scotland beats Poland and Gibraltar.
